Short Update
Alex weighed in at 26 pounds earlier this week. My parents stopped by to visit over the weekend. The lawn needs mowed again. The remaining pictures from Toronto, as well as last weekend, will be posted as soon as I can find time!

Toronto (Days 1 & 2)
Last Friday, we flew to Toronto to visit Michele's family. Alex enjoyed seeing Ohare again. Riding in the stroller? Naw, look closer -- he's actually pushing it. Once we got on the plane, Michele tried to eat her lunch. Somebody else had other plans.
When we got to Ottawa, Phong braved traffic (thank you!) to pick us up. Alex & Michele had a bit of a fight over his bottle -- Alex won as you can see.
Then it was time to go out for dinner. After Alex put his shoes on (with a little help), he brought me mine. Back at the hotel after dinner, we all had a drink and went to bed.
On Saturday, Alex took some time to explore the vast hotel lobby (especially compared to that room!) before heading across the street to Phong's to play with the Wii (again). Alex thought the controller was a cordless phone and somehow called Natalie to go out for lunch.
Back at the hotel again, Alex tried to decipher the label of some facial lotion, but got frustrated and tried to escape before his nap.
Dinner happened after an exciting car ride to the harbor. Grandma Sharon proved quite adept at entertaining an otherwise-bored Alex halfway through the meal. A spoon, or for that matter anything that fits into his mouth, can be helpful as well. Eventually, he was hungry again, so Grandpa Joe got to hold him as he found and devoured a few more bits of food. Uncle Adrian and Daphne got to meet Alex for the first time. Here's the group at dinner (except for Daphne, who was behind the camera!).

Brookfield Zoo
On Mother's Day, we woke up, had breakfast (as if Alex would ever miss a meal!), and went to the zoo. He took his usual seat in the van. While there, we saw a brown bear and three polar bears. We also climbed around on their playground equipment (which, it turns out, is very similar to our neighborhood park) and saw lots of seagulls, Canadian geese, various smaller birds, and a few squirrels. After eating a quick lunch, Alex decided it was time to head home for a nap and pushed his stroller back to the car. (OK, maybe not the entire way, but definitely more than half.)
Thankfully, we bought a family membership, so we can go back another weekend and see a few more animals (hopefully more than four!).

Weeks Behind
Alright, time to catch up on pictures before the weekend. Here's ol' smiley, probably just fed. He likes taking "money" out of his piggy bank and putting it back in. Sometimes he worries about the economy (just kidding -- I'm sure he's far more worried about his next meal!).
Alex has been spending some time outside since the weather's been warmer lately (until this week anyway!). He likes pushing it as well as riding it around in circles. He doesn't like it when it falls over, or when somebody else tries to steal it.
He's really getting into books. When he's in the mood, he'll even go find a book when we ask for one. Sometimes, he reads to us.
